Audubon Birds and Climate Report
Editorial design for a scientific report on bird species at risk of extinction from global temperature rise.
A breakthrough study from National Audubon Society shows two-thirds of North American bird species are at risk of extinction from climate change. I worked with the Audubon team to design and format a 72-page scientific report on their findings. It outlines the natural & man-made threats and the effects on migration & breeding patterns of 389 species under different temperature increase scenarios within the coming decades. The report was published in English and Spanish.

The report pairs extensive data & charts with captivating photography of the birds at risk. A major section of the report identifies the core threats to the birds including: sea level rise, urban and cropland expansion, extreme heat, wildfires, droughts, heavy rainfall, and false springs.
The report was printed for press events and is currently a resource under their larger Survival by Degrees initative. Check it out on Audubon’s website.
